O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth! Your glory is higher than the heavens. You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength, silencing your enemies and all who oppose you. When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers— the moon and the stars you set in place— what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor. You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority— the flocks and the herds and all the wild animals, the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and everything that swims the ocean currents. God is majestic! The word “majestic” means filled with beauty, awe, and wonder. The Lord’s majestic name fills the earth. We are invited to see the glory and beauty of God – and praise His name. The Creator’s artistry can be observed everywhere if we slow down enough to take it in. Those who do are changed.
God is love, and He loves you. Humans are not forgotten or ignored by the Lord in His majesty. God has crowned them to rule in His image, taking care of ourselves, each other, and the planet as we walk with Him. As we live out His rule and walk in His love, God’s majesty increases on the planet. You are meant to be a conduit of God’s glory. You are made to magnify His majesty!
